Lakewood Beach Access
A great access to drive the golf cart to. One person can drop everyone off right at the sand, and then drive down the hill to the nearby parking area.
Gulf Lakes
This access is located about 1 miles east of Taste & Sea (to the left). There is no official parking area, so parking is first come first serve along the side of the road. Please note that parking regulations have changed since this video was taken, so parking is on the side of the road on the right just before you get to the basketball court.
Santa Clara
If you don’t mind driving the car, this is the best Beach Access. Santa Clara access is a Walton County, ADA approved, beach access located near Bramble Grove Road, about 3.5 miles to the west of Prominence. This is the scheduled stop for the Prominence shuttle. Parking and bathrooms are also available at the Santa Clara access. If you take the tram, please note that the hours of operation are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Additional public parking is available across the street.
The Prominence Beach Shuttle runs seasonally from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
Deer Lake State Park
Deer Lake is located 0.6 miles West of Prominence. Because this is a state park, there is a $3 fee and no alcohol is allowed. Bathrooms are available at the access. The walk from the parking area to the beach is a bit longer than most area accesses. Beach service is not available at this location.
This is a wonderful beach access for an early morning or sunset walk to the beach. The golf cart can be easily driven to Deer Lake.
Inlet Beach
